Implementasi Pendekatan Keperawatan Transkultural dalam Pelayanan Kesehatan Masyarakat Multietnis

The increasing diversity of cultural backgrounds in society presents complex challenges for the healthcare system in providing equitable, responsive, and effective services. Differences in values, beliefs, languages, and health practices have the potential to influence interactions between healthcare workers and the community. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Transcultural Nursing Model in the context of healthcare services in a multi-ethnic community. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and participant observation with nurses and community members from diverse cultural backgrounds. The results indicate that the application of transcultural nursing principles contributes to increasing the cultural sensitivity of healthcare workers, facilitating therapeutic communication processes, and strengthening trusting relationships between nurses and patients. Furthermore, the research findings emphasize the importance of developing cultural competency through ongoing training and active community involvement in the planning and implementation of healthcare strategies. Overall, the integration of a transcultural approach into nursing practice has been shown to improve the quality of care and positively impact public health outcomes in a multicultural environment.
