Dampak Edukasi Kesehatan Menggunakan Media Audiovisual terhadap Pemahaman Remaja mengenai Anemia

Adolescents are an age group at high risk of developing anemia, primarily due to their rapid growth phase, unbalanced nutritional patterns, and limited knowledge regarding nutritional needs. One effort considered effective in improving adolescents' understanding of anemia is through health education using audiovisual media. This study aims to analyze the effect of audiovisual media-based health education on adolescents' knowledge levels about anemia. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach. The study subjects consisted of 50 students selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted using a validated knowledge questionnaire, administered before and after the educational intervention. The analysis showed a significant increase in the average knowledge score of adolescents after receiving health education through audiovisual media (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that audiovisual media can effectively convey health information and improve adolescents' understanding of anemia. Therefore, audiovisual-based health education is recommended for integration into the School Health Program (UKS) as a promotive and preventive strategy to increase awareness and prevent anemia in adolescents.
