Kepatuhan Pasien Tuberkulosis terhadap Terapi: Faktor-Faktor yang Berpengaruh

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a public health problem with widespread global impact. The success of TB therapy is greatly influenced by patient adherence to regular and continuous treatment. This study aims to describe the level of adherence of tuberculosis patients to treatment and identify various factors contributing to this adherence. The study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through the distribution of structured questionnaires to TB patients undergoing treatment at a community health center (Puskesmas). The results showed that the majority of respondents fell into the moderate to low adherence category. Several key factors influencing adherence include patient knowledge about the disease and TB therapy, family support, drug side effects, and ease of access to healthcare facilities and services. These findings confirm that adherence to TB treatment is influenced not only by medical factors but also by social aspects and the healthcare system. Therefore, comprehensive efforts are needed, including increased health education, enhanced psychosocial support, and improved access to TB services to improve patient adherence and treatment success.
